Your urban farmer

Your urban farmer

March 18, 2016

I’m Ken Stockstill, your urban farmer. I've been at UOSC for 13 years as the site superintendent. My background is in gardening and agriculture.  I started cutting lawns when I was just 11 years old. In high school I was a future farmer, I raised lambs, ploughed fields and worked for an entomologist (bug doctor).  I've taken 9 horticultural classes at Sheridan College. The name Blueberry Fields was chosen because of my love for music. Fats Domino recorded a song named Blueberry Hill and the Beatles recorded Strawberry Fields, so I chose Blueberry Fields.
