I’m Ken Stockstill, your urban farmer. I’ve been at UOSC for 13 years as the site superintendent. My background is in gardening and agriculture. I started cutting lawns when I was just 11 years old. In high school I was a future farmer, I raised lambs, ploughed fields and worked for an entomologist (bug doctor). I’ve taken 9 horticultural classes at Sheridan College. The name Blueberry Fields was chosen because of my love for music. Fats Domino recorded a song named Blueberry Hill and the Beatles recorded Strawberry Fields, so I chose Blueberry Fields.
